Brandon was just working on getting a house, when his mortgage application landed in the hands of Alexis, a gal who would change his life forever. She had been helping him through the process, when he mentioned that he had an auto body shop. Needing some work done on her car, Alexis asked him if he could take a look. This would also be the first time she was meeting Brandon in person, so she asked a mutual acquaintance if he was cute. Despite Brandon not apparently leaving any specific impressions upon this other person, Alexis would share later that her jaw dropped to the floor when Brandon walked out to greet her. From that day on, the two have been inseparable, culminating in a destination wedding in Key West, which I was glad to become part of!

When I asked them about what they do for fun, they shared: “We love taking mini trips! We live in central Florida, so we will take a mini trip to Tampa/Clearwater, St. Augustine, Savannah, etc.. We also love doing house projects, they stress us out (mostly me) but we enjoy it. Going to dinner, having wine night and watching our shows and cooking together are all at the top of the list!” It’s no wonder that travels would be part of their wedding day as well, since Key West is such a beautiful location to get married!

If the story of how they met wasn’t sweet enough, it gets even better when I asked Alexis how he proposed. She said: “Brandon suggested we do a little getaway trip. I wasn't totally about it because it was right before Christmas and I still hadn't finished my Christmas shopping. However, I took him up on the offer. We arrived in Savannah GA late,. both exhausted and passed out, which was nice because we were both up at the crack of dawn. We went out for breakfast that morning and then we started walking around to do some sightseeing…"

“…We weren't walking around for long before he kept suggesting we go over to the squares or park area. I kept telling him to wait, but he wouldn’t stop asking about it. Once we got in the general area, he asked which one Forest Gump was filmed at. So we found the area, but not the bench from the movie, so I start searching on my phone to find out where it is! The next thing I know, Brandon starts telling me he loves me, wants to spend his life with me, and then he got down on one knee!! It was the best moment, and plays over and over in my head all the time!”
