Brian and Bry | Fort Zachary Taylor + Smokin Tuna Saloon

Sometimes a little screen time is a good thing! Especially when it results in you meeting the love of your life! One day Brian was scrolling online when he ended up in conversation with….well….Brian! Besides the uniqueness of meeting a partner who shares your same name, they would share later with me that they knew pretty much instantly that it was “right” from the start!

As their relationship grew, they discovered that they loved trying new restaurants, binging funny YouTube videos, and playing for hours with their dog Resi. They’d been to Key West several times with a group of friends, and have so many special memories here, including walking along Truman Waterfront when “Big Brian” proposed! They knew when it came time to plan the big day, they had to have it in paradise.

The day began with the couple arriving to Fort Zachary Taylor State Park where they would enjoy their “first look” moment inside the historic fortress. The two grooms positioned under the brick arches, one Brian waiting patiently as the other Brian approached and tapped him on the shoulder so they could enjoy a moment together. Taking in the beautiful scenery of the historic location, we walked all around the grounds to several photo-worthy spots and captured pre-wedding photos of the guys before the ceremony.

Soon, the Conch Tour Train was arriving with the rest of the guests, so we headed over to the ceremony site - rainbow colored shoe laces and all! - to greet everyone upon arrival. We got some fun photos of the boys on the train and their moms’ arrivals to head down to the beach where their good friend was serving as officiant and getting everyone organized and seated. In true Key West wedding ceremony tradition, the oceanfront ceremony faced the beautiful water, with boats and birds alike going by in the background, the warm kiss of the tropical sunshine giving the nuptials that island glow, and the gentle seabreeze blowing through the palm fronds overhead.

The couple exchanged their vows, rings, and promises for their future, and enjoyed their recessional back down the aisle amid lots of cheers, applause, hugs, and celebration all around!

After the ceremony and capturing some group family and friend photos, as well as additional beach photos of the newlyweds at sunset, we headed to Smokin’ Tuna Saloon where the group was gathering for the evening’s celebrations. Brian and Bry entered the party to lots of cheering, and enjoyed the evening hanging out with everyone in attendance, having delicious food served buffet style for all to enjoy, and of course lots of photos with everyone who was attending!

It was a lovely day for two beautiful people and their warm and happy family and friends. I couldn’t be prouder to have been part of the big day, and wish Brian and Brian many more years of happy memories to come!
