Hunter and Tori Get Engaged in Key West!

Hunter wanted to plan a special day with his girlfriend, one complete with sparkly diamonds and stunning sunsets! He asked Tori to marry him amid the sandy shores and soft sounds of the ocean at Fort Zachary Taylor Beach in Key West, Florida. We enjoyed several weeks of planning beforehand, he using a family member's email and phone to communicate with me, and me being careful not to say anything too obvious when the day drew near and we were texting as he arrived to the park.

When I couldn't spot the couple in the vast park, I had his mom's cell phone and called her to see if she could give me some insight on where they might have gone. She helped me locate him, and as we were about to end the call, I saw Hunter getting ready to drop to one knee, and - poor mom! - I had to hang up on her! (Of course I followed up later to explain, but she knew that had been "the moment", and we laughed about it later).

Afterwards, the couple strolled along the beach, perched atop the vast rock jetties, snuggled in the sea grapes, and kissed as the epic Key West sunset went down behind them.
