Matt and Eric | Casa Marina Resort Wedding Day
It was spring of 2019 when Matt went on a first date with this guy he’d met (as so many do) on a dating app, and met Eric! They went to see the movie Beach Bum, and even though they didn’t love the film, they still considered that the first day of their love story. The duo would soon realize they had a shared love of dinner nights with friends, traveling to different parts of the world, and just spending nights at home watching everything from horror movies to comedies.
I would eventually meet them in December of 2020 in Key West, when Matt planned on proposing to Eric during a surprise engagement photo shoot. We had set up the shoot as just a “fun couples session”, so Eric just thought it was another one of their many adventures. Halfway through the session as the sun got closer to the horizon, the sailboats dotted the ocean blue in the background and with the palm fronds swayed gently in the seabreeze, Matt proposed, and Eric said yes!
Fast forward to the big day of the wedding, when Matt and Eric came back to Key West and officially tied the knot at the Casa Marina Resort.

The ceremony was a beautiful moment on the sands of Casa Marina, overlooking the ocean with gentle waves lapping up against the coral rocks in the background. Family and friends from all over the country had flown in to be with the couple on their happy day. The two grooms exchanged rings, heartfelt vows, and a promise to love each other forever. Then everyone applauded and cheered as they made their way back down the aisle, officially Husband and Husband!
After photos around the hotel and on the beach, the couple made their grand entrance with cold sparklers highlighting their entrance into the party! They shared a first dance as the live band played, getting the party off to a good start with lots of smiles, tears of joy, and good vibes!
In true wedding day fashion, the couple enjoyed heartfelt speeches and words of wisdom from their friends and family during the toasts, and then the beautiful cake was brought out for all to see, admire, and of course for Eric and Matt to officially cut so everyone could enjoy!
The night carried on with much revelry and celebration, and I am so happy to have been part of Eric and Matt’s love story from the moment they first committed to each other forever, to the final moment they walked down the aisle and said “I do”!
