Megan and Samuel | Old Town Manor Wedding

What’s the perfect remedy for two people in the medical field when they fall in love? Head to Key West and say “I Do!” of course! Sam and Megan met when Megan was working as a nurse and Sam as a medic. They learned quickly their mutual love of family walks, Disney, and fireworks, and a relationship grew.

When it came time to ask Megan to marry him, Sam borrowed a tactic that had worked for his own dad many years before, and wrapped a present, proposing on Christmas Day! From their home in Deerfield Beach, they planned the perfect wedding in paradise, and I had the honor of taking part as their Key West photographer to capture the memories!

Press PLAY to relive the beautiful day!

The morning started out with Megan and her girls getting their hair and makeup done in the Saratoga Suite at the Old Town Manor, where the rest of the day’s festivities would also be held. We got the bride into her dress and the groom horsed around with his guys, capturing separate photos of them individually and with their respective bridesmaids and groomsmen.

Soon it was time for the couple to see each other for the first time, and they celebrated with a “First Look” moment on the historic veranda of the manor, embracing each other and breathing a sigh of relief that the big day was finally here!

We enjoyed some beautiful photos inside the historic home, and then set off for the ceremony!

With the newlyweds freshly minted and walking down the aisle, the family gathered together on the front balconies of the upstairs and downstairs porches for a huge group photo with everyone in attendance. We then combined parents, siblings, aunts and uncles for some additional group shots, allowing the couple time to enjoy hugs and congratulatory well wishes with all those they had invited.

With the formal photos out of the way, it was time to party! The venue had set up a side patio of round banquet tables for everyone to dine, as the buffet was put out with delicious entrees of all kinds created by Catered Affairs. I milled about capturing little glimpses of joy and cheer throughout the evening, taking in both the laughter and the emotional moments as their best man and maid of honor gave toasts, and the couple thanked everyone for joining them.

Not too long after, it was time to cut the cake, and I and joined the couple on the dance floor - them dancing, me shooting! - as DJ Nick Morse kept the party hopping all throughout the evening.

Congratulations Megan and Samuel! I’m so honored to have been part of your big day as you celebrated in style with a wedding at Old Town Manor here in Key West, Florida!
