Couple Kicks Off Custom "Happy Ever After" in Key West Engagement Session
Dionicia and Derrick celebrated their recent engagement with a trip to Key West. Arriving with custom shirts expressing their "Happily Ever Moite" (Derrick's last name) hashtag, and Dionicia's awesome #Feyonce shirt (a play on her newly engaged status while channeling that inner-Beyonce all powerful women have inside them!) :D.
We started the session with some classic studio portraits, going with our taupe-ish-gray background to accent the black-and-white ensembles, Dionicia even kicking up her heels to flash those to-die-for Louboutins as well!
Heading outside into Truman Annex, we got to incorporate an amazing Banyan tree that I had come across during a recent stroll. I'm always looking for new places to shoot, so I was excited to get the opportunity to try out a few poses in this spot.
We then made our way into Bahama Village, incorporating the colorful backdrops of Blue Macaw, Blue Heaven (why is everything in Bahama Village named "Blue" something?...anyway...I digress...), and Petronia Street.
Finally, we wrapped up with a bold blue sky at Fort Zachary Taylor, getting the best of the waves that kept trying to wash away our sand-written wedding date the couple have planned!
It was a great day and we really enjoyed being part of their special celebration. Congratulations Dionicia and Derrick on your engagement, and thank you for coming to Key West to kick off a new exciting chapter in your lives!
