Lashawn & Kent | Omni Amelia Island Wedding | Fernandina Beach, Florida

Lashawn and Kent first reached out to me earlier this year. They were coming into town from North Carolina and asked me to take their engagement photos.

They couple met over 24 years ago and were friends for a long time. Kent eventually asked LaShawn to help him with his business. They realized their feelings toward one another and started dating.

I could instantly see a connection between the two of them. I found out that they initially worked together, and an affinity grew from there. We discussed how they love to travel, and they were so easy-going and up for anything that I knew we would work really well together. They are the kind of snuggly, romantic couple that really DO take long walks on the beach together. :D

They love to play golf and tennis together, and just generally enjoy each others company!

I was honored when they asked me to photograph their wedding weekend as they celebrated with their closest family and friends. The Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort in Fernandina Beach, Florida. The hotel is a stunning property right on the beach, with sea oats and soft sand and a stunning view of the Florida sunrise.

Kent and LaShawn loved their engagement photos so much, that when he had his attire fitted for the wedding day, he asked his tailor to add this special touch. What an amazing idea!
