Christina and Bruce | Sunset Key Wedding

Weddings in Key West are always a special affair, but Christina and Bruce’s wedding day was truly something extraordinary. Their celebration was filled with unforgettable moments and stunning backdrops, making it a dream to photograph. From the initial getting-ready shots to the final dance at Opal Key, every moment was infused with love and joy.

We started the day at the Opal Key Resort, where Christina and Bruce prepared for their big day. The excitement was contagious as Christina slipped into her beautiful gown, and Bruce adjusted his tie with a mix of nerves and anticipation. Their love for each other was palpable, making the getting-ready photos genuinely heartfelt. Once they were ready, we made our way to Truman Annex for their First Look—a private moment where the couple saw each other for the first time on their wedding day. Capturing their reactions was one of the highlights of my day, as they shared laughter, tears, and a quiet moment together before the ceremony.

Next, we hopped on the ferry to Sunset Key, a charming island just a short ride away from Key West. For those who haven’t been, Sunset Key is a little slice of paradise with pristine beaches and an intimate, exclusive feel. It’s the perfect spot for a wedding ceremony, offering breathtaking views and a tranquil atmosphere. As Christina and Bruce exchanged vows on the beach, the sun began its descent, casting a golden glow over the scene. The gentle sound of waves and the soft rustle of palm trees made it an idyllic setting for their promises of forever.

After the ceremony, we embarked on a sunset cruise with Fury Catamarans. Including a sunset cruise in your Key West wedding is a fantastic way to entertain your guests. It offers a chance to relax on the water and take in the famous Key West sunset, which never disappoints. As we sailed, there were plenty of candid moments, from guests enjoying the breeze to the newlyweds stealing kisses against the backdrop of a vibrant sky.

Returning to Opal Key, the reception was in full swing. The night was filled with all the joyous elements of a great wedding celebration: touching parent dances, the cutting of the cake, heartfelt toasts, and plenty of laughter and cheers. Christina and Bruce’s first dance was a beautiful moment, and the energy on the dance floor was infectious as everyone joined in to celebrate the newlyweds.

Throughout the day, it was clear how much love and support surrounded Christina and Bruce. It was an honor to document their wedding day, capturing not just the big moments but also the small, candid ones that truly tell the story of their love. As the night came to a close and the couple danced the last dance, I couldn’t help but feel grateful to have been part of such a magical day.
