Nick and Alyssa - A Proposal in Paradise

As far as Alyssa was aware, it was to be only a beautiful trip to Key West, Florida.  But what she didn't know was that her boyfriend Nick had been secretly planning a very big day.  

The couple started dating many years ago, having met through mutual friends and often wondering how their paths had not crossed before.  But now, under the blue skies of paradise with the sound of the ocean in the distance, Nick popped the question and Alyssa said yes!

Nick wanted to work with a local Key West photographer who could help him plan his proposal and find the best location, so when we discussed the plans and logistics, all details were reviewed and the final decision was made to plan the big moment at Fort Zachary Taylor State Park.

Hiding behind a Sea Grape bush, I noticed the moment was at hand when Nick held Alyssa's hands and pointed down to a "chance" encounter of a note he had written her (he had in truth dropped it just a moment before when she wasn't looking).  Alyssa read the note and before she realized what was happening, Nick was on one knee, as I captured a rapid series of photos, nearly bumping into a lounging tourist in my excitement.  

Afterward, we spent some time wandering around Fort Zach park so the couple could enjoy their newly-engaged status and grab some romantic photos to remember the day.

The session wrapped up with lots of smiles as the couple looked forward to dinner plans later that evening, and planned the list of all their friends and family they would need to share the news with!
