The call came in from the publisher for New York Moves Magazine. She shared that they had their annual Power Women edition coming out, where they celebrate influential women at the top of their industries. Helena Bonham Carter was being photographed for the cover in New York, but they’d seen my work in women’s portraiture online, and needed photos of the first American female cruise ship captain. Naturally, I dove right in!

Tyler Proposes to Tracie at the Ernest Hemingway Home

Tyler’s girlfriend loves to read, so when they planned their trip to Key West, he knew that he wanted to incorporate her love of Ernest Hemingway novels into the trip somehow. When I suggested he propose at the Hemingway House, he loved the idea, so we put the plans into motion, getting the necessary permissions from the team there. The day arrived, and while I hid in an undercover spot, I was able to capture this important moment as he asked his girlfriend to marry him!
